She was born Abt. 1810 in Estill County Ky.

John appears to have frozen to death traveling from Missouri to Kansas.

He was not shown on the 1820 Census.

According to his nephew Robert Letcher Tipton his uncle John married a Miss Susie Schultz and went to Missouri and froze to death on a cold night traveling from Missouri to Kansas.

Got your mail OK and info attached open with no trouble. Thanks..I am from Talitha Tipton Walker who was my gr3 grandmother..dau of the John Tipton who died in 1843. Talitha lived in Clay Co MO. She was dau of John's lst wife, Betsey HALL, as far as I know from others info. and he married 2nd to Catherine..one source has her last name as BAKER?? The Rev Robert James was born in 1818 and was 16 years younger that Talitha, by the time he became a preacher if at age 21 it would have been in 1839 or so, Talitha would have been over 38 years of age when she was baptized.

Rev. Robert Sallee James (1818-1850) was a Baptist Minister who helped found William Jewell College in Liberty Mo., he left for the California gold fields ca. 1850 and was never heard from again.

On the Walker line Talbitha's daughter Elizabeth married my GG Grandfather John Henry Gall she died at 18 yrs. in childbirth John H. Gall then Married Angeline Tipton, Samuel Tipton's daughter. Samuel was Talbitha's brother believe. I am quoting this from memory so may not be 100% John Henry Gall bought
his farm from John Walker he hid the $$$ wrapped around his ankles under his sox and went to Liberty to buy the farm, so as not to lose it to highwaymen.
Angeline and John Gall had aroud 11-13 children not all lived , there were 3 sets of twins after Angeline died he married a third time to a Julia??? and had at least one if not 3 children more. He was a busy man I know. I have more records in my files, even deads etc.
I recently found hidden in my mother's desk an old safe deposit box filled with stuff from John Henry Gall, I know it is his stuff as the box says JH Gall on it . I have not had time ot look in it yet I am anxious but I have so much going on I have little time for my hobby. Nice to chat with you. JIM.
