Old Pickers & Grinners Re-Union #2

Was held October 1 & 2, 1996 at Maryville Tennessee.

Tex Cole had planned to come it from Alaska but had emergency surgery about a month ago and had to cancel. We all wish him a speedy recovery and look forward to seeing him next year, hang in there Tex.

Chuck Jenkins who drove in from N. Carolina cancelled his hernia operation in order to make it, and put on 2 great performances of his pantomine act and left everyone in stitches. Hope to see you next year Chuck.

Garland Frady came in from Villa Rica Georgia and sang some great songs as usual and told some funny jokes.

Bill Waldrop came from Alabama and played some great bass, it sure was good to see Bill again.

Johnny McKee & Avery Banks came down from Greeneville Tn on Saturday and spent several hours but had to go home to tend to his Cattle.

Al Keefe called and said he would have made it but he received the letter after returning from vacation. Sorry Al that was probably my fault, but we'll see you next year anyway.

I can't thank Ellis Bryant, Mike Potts, and Mary Aker enough for doing all the cooking and cleaning we could'nt have done it without you.

Ralph had lots of friends relatives and local Musicians who were there and all did a great job of picking and singing.

Each and every one are invited to next years reunion and i for one will look forward to seeing you again.
