Old Pickers & Grinners Re-Union #3

Was held September 5-6, 1997 at the VFW in Weatherford Oklahoma.

The turnout was not as expected but the few that did attend really enjoyed themselves and had a great time.

On the 5th we visited, enjoyed a meal of cold cuts, and snacks and played music until midnight.

On the 6th we met at 4:00pm and had a nice visit, enjoyed a great dinner of barbecued sausage and beef brisket with all the trimmings, and again played music until midnight.

I received news on Friday that Gene Bear had passed away (exact date unknown) Gene he was a true original and no one loved Country Music more,and i regarded him as a personal friend and he'll be sorely missed.

Buddy was a friend of Chuck Ross who was supposed to meet Chuck here But Chuck's car broke down enroute and he was'nt able to make it however we enjoyed Buddys Vocals lead guitar work.
