Old Pickers & Grinners Re-Union #8
Was held September 11th and 12th at the American Legion in Tahlequah Oklahoma, and was hosted by Marie Quinton a resident of Tahlequah who was assisted by her son Roger and other family members.
Roger who plays drums and bass appeared and did a session with his band that plays in the local area.

This years reunion was one of the biggest ever, I don't have an actual count but I can count at least 60 people but due to some bringing other family members plus several locals raised the total considerable.

One complete end of the building was clustered with musical instruments and amplifiers, and for two days everyone took turns picking and singing.

Even though most of us no longer play professonally we all did very well and most did not seem to have lost any of their talent.

We also had two steel guitar players that I don't have names for who did a fine job.

Many thanks to those attending and speaking for myself I enjoyed it immensely and believe that everyone else did the same.

At this time the 2004 reunion is tentatively scheduled to be held in the Kernville, Lake Isabella area near Bakersville California, I will have more information later.
